El Consulado de Estados Unidos en Nuevo Laredo publicó este martes en su sitio de internet una alerta a sus ciudadanos para protegerse de un presunto tiroteo en las calles de esa ciudad fronteriza.
La sede consular exhorta a sus ciudadanos que busquen un refugio para protegerse de una presunta balacera, que según reportes se llevó a cabo cerca del Boulevar Colosio y del zoológico municipal.
"Existen informes de un enfrentamiento armado en curso en la Ciudad de Nuevo Laredo, cerca del Boulevar Colosio y el zoológico municipal. El Consulado General de Estados Unidos en Nuevo Laredo aconseja a todos los ciudadanos estadounidenses a refugiarse y tomar precauciones hasta que concluya el enfrentamiento. Los ciudadanos estadounidenses deben estar al día con la cobertura mediática de los eventos locales." dice el texto.

There are reports of an ongoing gun battle in the City of Nuevo Laredo, near Boulevard Colosio and the municipal zoo. The U.S. Consulate General in Nuevo Laredo advises all U.S. citizens to shelter in place and to take precautions until the fighting subsides. U.S. citizens should stay current with media coverage of local events.
